The Irish Music & Culture Appreciation Retreat Experience
This four day holiday package enables non-musicians and music lovers to experience an off the beaten path Irish holiday that incorporates an array of spirited Irish cultural activities.
Enjoy learning a tune on the tin whistle, learn a few words of Gaelic and the history of the Irish language and traditional Irish customs. Have some fun with a step of Irish dancing, get to pour a perfect pint of Guinness or make an Irish coffee, step into the kitchen and learn how to prepare some delicious Irish bread and meals, enjoy afternoon outings to historic and scenic sights. Visit local castles, see local handcrafts, walk the country hills, explore ancient archaeological sights.
Enjoy three afternoon outings to historic and scenic sights. In the town of Cashel you can visit The Rock of Cashel and Hoare Abbey. Treat yourself to Afternoon Tea in the newly refurbished 5* Cashel Palace Hotel. In the town of Cahir you can visit Cahir Castle and enjoy a riverside walk on the River Suir to wards the ornate Swiss Cottage heritage site. Spend an afternoon in the local town of Thurles - home of the G.A.A. (Gaelic Athletic Association) which is the national organisation for the traditional sports of Hurling and Football. The G.A.A. was founded in Thurles in 1884. Two nights are spent enjoying the music, singing and storytelling at traditional Irish music pub sessions.
The itinerary is carefully planned to ensure guests really enjoy themselves as well as learn lots about Irelands rich cultural heritage. This four night package promises to be an authentic and unique holiday experience. Evening meal can be enjoyed at a restaurant at your leisure during your afternoon outing, in advance of returning to Fiddlers Retreat. You will be intrigued from dawn until dusk.

Three nights Bed and Breakfast accommodation - Tuesday morning arrival at 10:00am - Friday departure at 12:20pm
Three home cooked traditional family style meals served at 6:30pm - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Three afternoon cultural outings to local towns and village with lots to see and do - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Guests can purchase their own light meal while out during the afternoon outings and enjoy excellent local tearooms, pubs and restaurants.
Night-time outings to two Traditional Irish music pub sessions- Wednesday at 9pm until 11:00pm and Thursday at 8:30pm until 10:30pm.
We will be doing all of the driving!
We will collect you from our local train station in Thurles and return you for your onward journey if you decide to come by train. =
